'The OJ Simpsons' parody infuriates Fox
May 15, 2007 - 11:54:08 AM

New York, May 15 - Ever since a parody called 'The OJ Simpsons' has featured on the Internet, bosses at 20th Century Fox are quite upset and have asked the online video store broadcaster.com to take down the clips.

The parody re-imagines the Fox series 'The Simpsons' starring the former football star, reports hollywood.com.

The clips also parody the opening scene of 'The Simpsons' with OJ Simpson being chased by police cars just as he was chased in 1994 in Los Angeles after his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman were found murdered.

The website said they would review the clips but they say the parodies are protected by fair-use doctrine.

Said Martin Wade, chief executive of the website: 'We respect the rights of content owners. Our goal is to be a respecter of content rights and at the same time find legal ways to bring our community members the content they enjoy.'
