By Xinhua,
[RxPG] Dhaka, April 23 - A Dhaka magistrate court Monday stayed its warrant order of arrest against Bangladeshi former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Hasina, now in London, was prevented from flying for Dhaka Sunday as British Airways did not issue her a boarding pass in compliance with an advice of the Bangladeshi caretaker government Chief Advisor Fakhruddin Ahmed.
Hasina and 44 others of her Awami League-led 14-party alliance were accused in the murder during the political violence on Oct 28, 2006, last day of immediate past prime minister Khaleda Zia's coalition government.
The police investigation officer of the case, Enamul Haq, Monday submitted to the court that a number of people were involved in the murder case that required further investigation. He sought for stay of the arrest warrant, issued Sunday, against Hasina and others.
Hasina was barred from returning the country as the interim government in a press note on April 18 said her presence in Bangladesh would jeopardise stability, peace and economic life.
