Chittagong, May 14 - Seven Indian cricketers, who are to play in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh, landed here minutes before the local airport was closed following a hurricane warning from the met department.

The meteorological department here Monday forecast that a strong hurricane could lash this port city near the Bay of Bengal Tuesday, which could lead to the abandoning of the third and final India-Bangladesh One-day International.

Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Jaffer, V.V.S. Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Vikram Raj Vir Singh, Anil Kumble and Rajesh Pawar arrived here in the evening - some with their wives. Dinesh Karthik, who got married this month, went to the airport to receive his wife.

These players will replace Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Virender Sehwag, Rudra Pratap Singh, Piyush Chawla and Dinesh Mongia.

Manoj Tiwari, who was also here for the ODI series, returned home with an injured shoulder before the series started.

India lead the ODI series 2-0 and the third match Tuesday is of academic interest only.

The two-match Test series starts here Friday.
