Mar 6, 2007 - 2:45:32 PM

Jodhpur, March 6 - It will be flowers galore and dazzling lights at the Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel here as British model-actress Liz Hurley and India-born Arun Nayar say their wedding vows again in traditional Indian style.

According to sources at the hotel, the celebrity couple has booked the hotel from March 7 to 10. Final touches are being given to preparations for the lavish wedding and the parties the couple are throwing for their friends.

Hurley and Nayar had a private wedding in England March 3 after which they flew to India Monday. They are to host parties in Mumbai before moving to Rajasthan.

'Umaid will be decked up with lots of flowers and special lights. It will give one a feeling of Diwali,' a source at the hotel told IANS. Some of the flowers are being brought in from England and Holland.

Apart from Umaid Bhawan Palace, the pair will throw parties at Mehrangarh Fort and Nagaur Fort nearby.

The mehndi - ceremony is to be held March 7. Special henna is being brought from Sojat in Rajasthan's Pali district.

Hurley is expected to wear a 'kundan' or gem-inlaid necklace as she ties the knot with Nayar amid the chanting of Vedic mantras.

The date of the wedding is not yet known - it could be March 7 or 8. A special marble platform is being erected in the hotel lawns for the 'pheras' - the ritual of walking round a fire as part of the ceremony.

A priest has been engaged for the wedding and someone close to the erstwhile royal family is overseeing the wedding and party arrangements, the hotel source said.

A cricket match for the guests is in the offing as part of the wedding celebrations, if sources are to be believed. A temporary pitch is being laid in the hotel.
