Apr 30, 2007 - 3:18:15 PM

Kochi -, April 30 - Almost all leading Malayalam film stars will come together to act in a film, officially launched Monday and being made by the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes - to raise funds for the association's activities.

The yet untitled film, which was planned last year itself, will be produced by actor Dileep and a major portion of the box office collections would go to AMMA, said ace comedian Innocent, who is also president of AMMA.

Last year, Dileep had handed over Rs.1 million to the association for the project.

'Never before has any film industry in the country taken up a project like this. We require funds and all the actors will be acting for free in this film, which will be made by veteran director Joshi,' Innocent told IANS after the launch here.

'All leading stars of the Malayalam film industry, who are members of AMMA, will be acting in it,' he added.

The glittering launch function saw the presence of top actors like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Kavya Madhavan and Dileep.

The movie's script will be written by the duo Sibi-Udayan, who have penned hit Dileep films like 'CID Moosa', 'Runway', 'Kochi Rajavu' and 'Lion'.

'The film's shooting will begin by year-end and would be released in 2008,' Innocent added.

Dileep said he was delighted to produce the film for AMMA.

'There is a definite cause for the project and it is one to benefit AMMA, so I decided that I would do my bit,' the actor said.
