[RxPG] Baghdad, April 30 - At least six people were killed and 35 injured in separate violent incident in Iraq Monday, source said.
A car bomb went off at around 5 p.m. in a commercial area in Baghdad's southern district of Baiyaa, killing two people and wounding eight others, said the sources. The blast also damaged several nearby buildings and shops while ambulances and fire engines rushed to the scene.
At least two people were killed and over 10 wounded when a booby-trapped mini van detonated in a tunnel here Monday, leading to its collapse, officials said.
The powerful explosion took place when a police commando patrol was passing through the tunnel in Nusour Square. The tunnel partially collapsed, burying several civilian cars, an interior ministry source said.
A civilian was killed and nine others were wounded when several mortar rounds landed near a mosque in the Shaab neighbourhood in northeast Baghdad, the source said.
Another car bomb detonated near an Iraqi army patrol in the Rabie Street in the Jamiaa district in western Baghdad, wounding four civilians, the source added.
A civilian was killed and four others were wounded when a roadside bomb went off in the Talbiyah neighbourhood in northern Baghdad, the source said.
Separately, an Iraqi interpreter and four US soldiers were killed in insurgent attacks in Baghdad, a US military statement said Monday.
Three US soldiers were killed and one wounded in a roadside bomb attack when they were conducting a combat operation in eastern Baghdad. An Iraqi interpreter was also killed.

At least 3,345 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the US-led invasion on Iraq in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
