[RxPG] Gaza, April 22 - Six Palestinians were killed and six Israelis wounded as a new wave of violence erupted in the West Bank and Gaza, medics and security sources said.

Five of the dead were from the northern West Bank city of Jenin, included a teenage girl, three militants and one police officer.

The sixth victim was a Palestinian bystander slain in an Israeli airstrike on a militant's car in northern Gaza.

An Israeli army force backed by armoured vehicles Saturday stormed into Jenin and shot to death a Palestinian, described by witnesses as a policeman who was not involved in the clashes that erupted in the city.

On Saturday evening, an Israeli army elite undercover force disguised as Palestinian workers penetrated Jenin and shot three militants to death. Two of the dead were members in al-Aqsa Brigades, the Fatah movement's armed wing, and the third was a member of al-Quds Brigades, Islamic Jehad's armed wing.

On Saturday night, security sources said that an Israeli army force backed by 25 armoured vehicles raided the Jenin refugee camp and shot to death a 17-year-old girl.

The sources said the Israeli force stormed the refugee camp to search for wanted Islamic Jehad militants. Bushra Baragheesh, 17, the sister of an Islamic Jehad militant, was killed.

Following the raids on Jenin, Gaza Strip militant groups who had reduced launches of homemade rockets in recent days from Gaza at Israel vowed to resume the attacks.

Israeli Radio quoted an Israeli army spokesman as saying that six rockets had been fired from northern Gaza Strip, landed on the southern Israeli town of Sderout, and wounded at least six Israelis.

Al-Quds Brigades claimed responsibility for launching six homemade rockets fired from the northern Gaza Strip at Sderout in southern Israel.

Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses said that an Israeli Apache attack helicopter fired one missile and hit a car with three Islamic Jehad militants onboard in the northern Gaza Strip.

The sources said that the militants managed to jump from the car, while one Palestinian bystander identified as Kamal Annan, 24, of Gaza City was killed. An Islamic Jehad spokesman said that none of the three militants was wounded, adding that two civilian bystanders were wounded along the slain Gaza City man.

Nafez Azzam, a senior Islamic Jehad leader, accused Israel of not respecting the ceasefire, which Palestinian militant groups accepted on November 28.

'Israel never stopped its raids on the Palestinians in the West Bank,' said Azzam. 'The killings of fighters would never break the militants' determination to continue their struggle.'
