Doha, Dec 5 - India defeated Iran here Tuesday to set up the title clash with Pakistan in men's kabaddi of the 15th Asian Games.

India overpowered Iran 38-17 in a Pool A round robin league match to enter the final Wednesday with a clean slate.

India were leading 14-10 till the half time but in the second half did not give any chance to Iran that were making their debut in kabaddi in Asiad.

'We taught Iran kabaddi and it is good they have come up well,' said E. Prasad Rao, a doyen of Indian kabaddi.

Indian captain Dinesh Kumar is hopeful that the team will repeat the performance against Pakistan in the final and he will return home with the gold medal.

'I have said at the beginning of these games that we have come to take the gold medal and we will get it. Kabaddi is in our blood and we are sure to have control over it in the coming years,' said Kumar.
