13 new dengue cases, over 1,000 affected in Delhi

[RxPG] New Delhi, Nov 26 - With 13 new dengue cases in the national capital, the tally of those affected by the mosquito-borne disease touched 1,054, a health department official said Thursday.
'There were 13 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours. The cumulative total of dengue affected people is 1,054,' Debashish Bhattacharya, state nodal health officer for dengue cases, told IANS.
Of the total, 1,041 cases were Delhi residents and 13 are from outside the city.
The health department said that a death reported from Safdarjang hospital Tuesday - of a 22-year-old man - was a 'suspected dengue death case'.
However, the death is not being considered in the official toll since the test conducted was on the Rapid Kit Test which is not considered by the health department.
'We are considering this a suspected dengue death,' the official said.

Earlier, two more deaths were reported from the capital -- one of a 15-year-old boy and the other of a nine-year-old boy.
