By IANS,
[RxPG] New Delhi, Oct 3 - There was no power problem at the premier All India Institute of Medical Science here, a hospital official asserted Monday.
Responding to reports of power problems at the forensic department and the morgue affecting autopsies, Medical Superintendent D.K. Sharma said it could have been an isolated incident but it was certainly not a regular feature.
'This is not true,' Sharma said to reports of power problems at the premier institute.
'Maybe at one point of time, power problem may have been there but it is not a routine problem,' Sharma said.
He also said that power cuts could have been solely due to supply problems.
According to reports, several autopsies have been affected over last one month at AIIMS's forensic department. According to the report, the doctors were forced to hold autopsies in daylight due to non-availability of power, breaking the rules for holding autopsies only in a closed environment.
