[RxPG] Islamabad, April 19 - Pakistan's peace process with India is on the right track, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has informed Chinese President Hu Jintao.
Aziz also told the Chinese leader that Pakistan wanted to resolve all issues with India, including the dragging Kashmir conflict, peacefully and in line with the 'aspirations of the Kashmiri people'.
The News reported Thursday that Aziz made the comments during a visit when Pakistan and China signed a slew of 27 agreements focusing mainly on military and satellite cooperation.
Aziz reportedly apprised Hu of his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on the sidelines of this month's South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation - meeting.
The Nation reported that Pakistan's trade with China was to treble in the next five years, from $5 billion to $15 billion, as part of the consolidation of the 'time-tested, all-weather relationship'.
'Not only did we agree on the promotion of our relations but also on transfer of technology to Pakistan,' Aziz told reporters after an hour-long meeting with Hu.
Also discussed was the supply of Chinese fighter jet JF-17 Thunder, two of which have already been dispatched.
The aircraft has Russian engines, and the Sino-Russian contract prevents selling of the aircraft to any third country without Russian clearance.
