Pakistan squad questioned ahead of their departure

Kingston -, March 23 - The mystery behind Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer's death continues four days hence with murder being viewed as the probable cause.
Jamaica woke to banner headlines in The Gleaner, country's oldest and largest circulated daily, citing unnamed police sources, that there were strangulation marks on Woolmer's neck and an investigation will soon be announced by the police.
Deputy Commissioner of Jamaica Constabulary Force, Mark Shields though did not confirm the reports. ' We are waiting for the final report from the pathologist, only then we will be able to comment.'
Members of the Pakistan squad, meanwhile, were interviewed by the police prior to their departure from Kingston to Montego Bay. It was also reported they have been fingerprinted. The team is scheduled to fly to Pakistan on Saturday.
The police described the questioning as routine, all members of the team were being interviewed individually.
As the air over the Woolmer's death refuses to die down, speculations are rife, the latest to do rounds that he was eliminated by the match fixing mafia as he 'knew too much'.
Woolmer's widow, Gill, in a statement said she did not rule out murder.
Woolmer was found unconscious in his room in Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston hotel room on Sunday a day after Pakistan's shock defeat at the hands of Ireland, which knocked them out of the tournament. The cause of his death remains unknown.
