[RxPG] Islamabad, April 19 - Pakistan's trade with China is to treble in the next five years, from $5 billion to $15 billion, as part of the consolidation of the 'time-tested, all-weather relationship', it was announced here.

Twenty-seven agreements were signed during the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to China during which he held discussions, focusing on military and satellite cooperation, with President Hu Jintao, The Nation reported Thursday.

'Not only did we agree on the promotion of our relations but also on transfer of technology to Pakistan,' Aziz told reporters after an hour-long meeting with Hu.

Also discussed was the supply of Chinese fighter jet JF-17 Thunder, two of which have already been dispatched.

The aircraft has Russian engines, and the Sino-Russian contract prevents selling of the aircraft to any third country without Russian clearance.

The News said the two discussed a wide range of issues, including India-Pakistan relations.

Aziz apprised Hu of his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi and the peace process between the two countries, which he said was moving in the right direction.

He said that he informed the Chinese leader that Pakistan wanted to resolve all issues with India, including the Kashmir conflict, in a peaceful manner and in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
