The other states that need governors are Andhra Pradesh, where the post has been vacant since Sushilkumar Shinde became a minister in the Manmohan Singh cabinet, and Karnataka, where T.N. Chaturvedi is due to retire. Tamil Nadu Governor S.S. Barnala holds additional charge of Andhra Pradesh.

[RxPG] New Delhi, Jan 19 - Former Kerala finance minister K. Shankaranarayanan and former Intelligence Bureau director E.S.L. Narasimhan have been picked to be governors of Nagaland and Chhattisgarh respectively, informed sources say.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi have cleared the names and a formal announcement will be made soon, the sources told IANS.
Shankaranarayanan, a former convenor of the Congress-led United Democratic Front in Kerala, told IANS from his home in Palakkad that it has been unofficially conveyed to him that he would be the governor of Nagaland.
According to the sources, Narasimhan was originally to take charge of the Raj Bhavan in Nagaland but he expressed his reservation. So he has been shifted to Chhattisgarh.

Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura will also be getting new governors. And according to the sources, the governors could be changed in Delhi and Haryana.
