Jaipur, Jan 25 - Newly weds and diplomats will enjoy discounts and special hospitality aboard the Heritage on Wheels, a luxury tourist train.

Tickets for the train, run jointly by Indian Railways and the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation -, will come with a 10 percent concession for newly weds. The couples will also get special hospitality, said officials here.

The coaches in which the couples travel will be specially decorated.

A 15 percent concession will be given for 15-member groups while diplomats and their staff will enjoy 10 percent cuts.

'The discounts will be valid till April,' RTDC managing director Rakesh Saini told IANS.

For single occupancy, the tariff per night is $300 while for double and triple occupancy the tariff is $200 and $150 respectively.

The Heritage on Wheels, launched in February last year, travels through the unexplored regions of Bikaner and Shekhawati - famous for a large concentration of high quality frescoes.

During its three-night-four-day tour starting from Jaipur, the train covers Bikaner, Haat, Gajner, Tal Chhapar, Ramgarh, Nawalgarh and Mandawa before terminating at Jaipur.

The train has nine carriages, all decorated with Rajasthani art. The RTDC, along with the Indian Railways, also runs an internationally acclaimed 'Palace on Wheels' train.
