[RxPG] New York, May 4 - A shocking video of Baywatch's male lead star David Hasselhoff, very drunk with dribble coming out of his mouth, was aired on May 3 by the popular TV show Entertainment Today - on various channels in the US.

The video is believed to have been shot by his 16-year-old daughter Taylor three months ago in Las Vegas, where he has been living to play the lead part in the stage musical titled 'The Producers'.

Hasselhoff, who will turn 55 this July, is well known in India for starring in the 'Babewatch' serial, also featuring the well-endowed Pamela Anderson. He has been fighting the battle of the bottle for some years now, which cost him his marriage of 16 years to actress Pamela Bach - both filed for divorce last year on grounds of irreconcilable differences. His alcoholism is now threatening to sever his relationships with his two daughters, Taylor and Hayley Amber, the latter who is suspected to have attempted suicide last year.

In the pathetic video Taylor pleads repeatedly with his father to stop drinking. He is seen lying on the ground, wearing only blue jeans and trying to eat what looks like a hamburger. 'Dad, look what this is doing to you. You have to stop drinking alcohol, promise me you won't drink anymore.'

She also warns him that he could lose his stage gig if he doesn't sober up. 'The doctor's coming over early... if you have any alcohol in your system, you're gonna be fired from the show.'

In a statement to ET, David has pleaded for sympathy, 'I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite that I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work, I have been successfully dealing with my issue. Unfortunately, one evening I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse.'

He also revealed that his daughters, concerned for his well-being, made the videotape one night to show him what I was like. But, 'The tape was never meant to become public.' Unfortunately, it has.

The brief video can also be watched on the ETonline website.

In 2002, Hasselhoff had entered the Betty Ford Centre, the alcohol and drug treatment clinic in California, popular with the rich and famous trying to detox. But nothing seems to be working for him. Two years later he was arrested for drunken driving and last year he was disembarked from a flight at London's Heathrow airport for suspicions of intoxication.
