[RxPG] Jaipur, March 17 - Sir Gulam Noon, the India-born British businessman who is credited with popularising Indian curries in ready-to-eat packs in Britain, is exploring investment opportunities in Rajasthan.

'I'm still not sure about investments fully, but I am here to explore new business and investment opportunities,' Noon, who originally hails from Rajasthan, told reporters here late Friday.

Popularly called 'Curry King', Noon said he is very fond of the desert state and makes frequent trips here.

Noon, founder chairman of Noon Products Ltd in London, is also said to be constructing a hospital at Bhawani Mandi, his hometown in Kota district.

He began his career by managing the family business in India and came to Britain during the 1960s. He launched his ready-made curry company in 1989 with just four products. Noon Products Ltd now manufactures and supplies over 250 varieties of cooked and frozen Indian food to supermarkets in Britain.

'Indian food is one of the fastest growing items in England. The British have started to love spicy food,' Noon, who was knighted in 2002, proudly proclaimed.

Asked about racism in Britain, the businessman said: 'I won't say that there is no racial discrimination in the UK, but I have never experienced it. The country has been good to me.'
