[RxPG] Baghdad, April 30 - At least two people were killed and over 10 wounded when a booby trapped mini van detonated in a tunnel here Monday, leading to its collapse, officials said.

The powerful explosion took place when a police commando patrol was passing through the tunnel in Nusour Square.

The tunnel partially collapsed, burying several civilian cars, an interior ministry source said, adding the toll could rise as security forces and rescue teams continued looking for survivors under the debris.

Separately, an Iraqi interpreter and four US soldiers were killed in insurgent attacks in Baghdad Sunday, a US military statement said Monday.

Three US soldiers were killed and one wounded in a roadside bomb attack when they were conducting a combat operation in eastern Baghdad. An Iraqi interpreter was also killed.

In a separate statement, the US military reported that a fourth US soldier was killed by small arms fire during patrol Saturday.

At least 3,345 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the US-led invasion on Iraq in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
