[RxPG] Madrid, Nov 24 - English soccer star David Beckham said that he is happy playing for Real Madrid 'for now', and rejected rumours that he is soon going to move to the US.

'For now I am happy playing football in Madrid, when I play. The US thing is a possibility for the future,' said Beckham in an interview to a Spanish magazine.

But the 31-year old former England captain, who is currently on the bench at Real, made it clear that he is not satisfied with things as they are with the Spanish giants.

'At the end of the day I just think about playing games. Football is my passion and we all want to play, but you have to be patient and wait for the moment. In any case, I feel very well in Spain.'

Beckham insisted that he still wants to win trophies with Real Madrid.

Beckham's contract expires in June, and manager Fabio Capello has recommended that it be extended despite not putting him in the starting line-up. President Ramon Calderon has taken an extension for granted, but it is not yet certain.

'I look at my career and I cannot ask for much more. I have been called - for 11 years, I have been captain for six, and I have played 94 games. All that is a great honour, but I want more, I always want more,' he said.
