[RxPG] Doha, Nov 25 - The flip-flop attitude of the Indian team over participation at the Asian Games is forcing the organisers to keep guessing, 'will they, won't they'.

After first announcing that India had withdrawn from the men's and women's basketball, men's and women's sepaktakraw and fencing, the Indian Olympic Association - has sent a communication to the Doha Asian Games Organising Committee - requesting them to reinstate the sepaktakraw and fencing teams.

Though the event managers can hardly be happy over the situation as draws have to be redone, the Olympic Council of Asia and DAGOC have accepted the request.

The Indian basketball contingent created a sensation of sorts when they failed to turn up for the opening preliminary basketball match against Bahrain. The Bahrain team was all kitted and raring to go, despite rumours that the Indians had not landed.

With no Indian official in sight, the local media had no clue.

Even the chef-de-mission of the Indian contingent, R.L. Thakur, who was here a few days back for some meetings, was in the dark. He has returned to India and will come back with the first batch.

The Bahrain squad expressed disappointment at not being able to get a match. They were awarded the match 20-0 as per international basketball federation rules.

India is scheduled to take on Malaysia in sepaktakraw on Dec 2 and the fencing competition is scheduled to begin Dec 9.
