Slain Indian journalists remembered in Stockholm

[RxPG] Stockholm, Nov 25 - Two slain Indians from Assam and Nagpur were among the 116 journalists worldwide remembered by the Professional Foreign Correspondents Association - at a multi-religious ceremony in Stockholm.
The ceremony held at Sweden´s imposing Royal Cathedral here Nov 23 paid tributes to Indian journalists Prahlad Goala of Assamiya Khabar and Arun Narayan Dekate of Tarun Bharat who died in the line of duty during the past year.
Goala was killed in Golaghat district of Assam Jan 6 while Dekate was slain in Nagpur in June this year.
Featuring prominently among those honoured was Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya, killed in mysterious circumstances in October, and Swedish daily Aftonbladet´s photographer Martin Adler, who perished in Somalia in June.
Forty journalists have been killed in the bloody violence in Iraq this year.
Representative of the journalists' union, human rights bodies including Amnesty International along with the country ambassador of the journalists killed were also present.
