[RxPG] Kolkata, May 10 - Manoj Tiwari, whose maiden international tour went awry after a right shoulder injury at the nets in Bangladesh, said he would get back soon to the field.

While Tiwari has almost been ruled out of the ongoing Bangladesh tour, the Bengal cricketer who flew back to Kolkata Thursday from Dhaka said: 'I will get well soon. In life this happens.'

'I will try to get back as soon as possible... I will resume practice soon,' he said.

'I will consult my doctor now and since the injury is minor I hope to get back early.'

Skipper Rahul Dravid had Wednesday, on the eve of first one-dayer against Bangladesh, said: 'He - possibly won't be available for the one-day series but we will see a lot of him in future.'

The cricketer from Kolkata's twin town of Howrah was picked up for the India one-day side in January as the 12th man for the tour opener at Eden Garden against Sri Lanka.

Tiwari has an average of 96 this Ranji season and is also the highest scorer for Bengal in a Ranji season.

He also hit a double century to bat Mumbai out of the league game at Kolkata, allowing Bengal, for the first time in their Ranji Trophy history to inflict follow-on on Mumbai.

Tiwari has played for Customs, Kalighat and Sporting Union before appearing for Bengal Ranji side two seasons back.
