[RxPG] Ranchi, April 6 - Indian wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's troubles are far from over. After an attack on his under construction house by furious fans following the dismal World Cup show, the residents are up in arms against a swimming pool on its premises.

The residents of Harmu housing colony here have submitted an application to the Ranchi Regional Development Authority - seeking changes in the plan of Dhoni's house and asked for removing the swimming pool.

The residents have also requested the RRDA to ban the construction of the pool with immediate effect.

Ranchi faces acute water crisis during summer and the Harmu housing colony is one of the worst affected areas in the state capital.

'How can we allow the construction of a swimming pool despite knowing the fact that this locality faces acute water crisis,' said Ramchandra Jha, one of the residents of the area.

During summer, the water level in Ranchi goes down to 30 feet.

As per the plan, Dhoni is constructing a 150-ft by 40-ft pool with a depth of 10 ft. The pool would need 650,000 gallons of water.

The residents have also pointed fingers at RRDA for allowing three deep borings.

'Deep boring is banned in this locality. How could RRDA pass a such map,' questioned one of the petitioners to the RRDA.

The Jharkhand government last year gifted 4,000 sq ft land to Dhoni in Harmu housing colony. The market price of the land is Rs.5 million.
