[RxPG] Chittagong, May 20 - The Bangladesh cricket team will tour India for a Test series in 2009 while the Indian team will play a One-Day International series here sometime next year, a top Bangladesh Cricket Board - official said Sunday.

But before that as many as three Bangladeshi teams- under-16, under-19 and a women's team - will tour India for a series of matches this September-October, said BCB president Mohammad Abdul Aziz.

'In my meeting with Indian board president Sharad Pawar here Saturday, we have agreed in principle that the Bangladesh team will tour India for a Test series in 2009,' Aziz told IANS here on the washed out third day of the first Test.

He said the details would be worked out later.

But as per the International Cricket Council's Future Tour Programme - for the 10 Test playing countries, Bangladesh is scheduled to host India for two Tests and not vice-versa.

BCB is also slotted to host an ODI triangular series, along with India and Sri Lanka. Both the Test and triangular series are scheduled to be held between in December 2009 and January 2010.

All countries are bound by the FTP, which has broadly scheduled all home and away series for the 10 countries between May 2006 and May 2012.

The Indian team is to visit Bangladesh again next year to play an ODI series, with either South Africa or Pakistan as the third team.

India and Bangladesh have played only four Test matches, including the ongoing one since 2000 when Bangladesh got the Test status.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India - has postponed and eventually cancelled tours to and by Bangladesh over the last few years, apparently because of commercial reasons as a series involving the youngest Test nation would fetch less income for the world's richest cricket board.

Aziz said that three junior Bangladeshi teams will visit India soon.

'In principle we have agreed that the three junior teams will tour India in September-October this year,' he said of his meeting with Pawar who had come on a two-day trip to watch the match.

'We will also send our players and coaches to the Bangalore-based National Cricket Academy - of the BCCI for training that is mutually beneficial.'

Pawar and three other BCCI officials left for India in the morning.
