[RxPG] Chittagong, May 16 - Upcoming Bangladesh all-rounder Sakibul Hasan said Wednesday that he was sure he would make his Test debut in the first Test against India beginning here Friday.

'I am confident that I will get my first Test cap here. The rest depends on the team management,' Sakibul said.

He has played 31 One-day Internationals scoring 920 runs at 43.80 and taken 31 wickets at 31.25. Sakibul has also played 13 first-class matches.

He acknowledges that Test cricket is tougher than the abridged version of the game.

'Test cricket is different ball game. Usually you will get a chance to take singles in one-day cricket after fielding spreads following 15 to 20 overs,' said the left-handed batsman.

'But in Tests, fielding remains attacking most of the time and you have to rely on boundaries for runs. It's a different challenge.'

Sakibul said if given an opportunity he would be ready to bowl his left-arm spinners.

'I have got reasonable success with the ball in the first-class cricket. So, I have faith in myself. If my captain asks me to bowl in Test cricket, I will readily do it,' he said.

'Batting will be my main job. I can take the ball if regular bowler can't get a breakthrough.'

While Sakibul is set to make his debut, Mehrab Hossain -, another teenaged all-rounder, may have to wait for his debut.
