Cyclone Akash forecast for Chittagong Tuesday

[RxPG] Chittagong, May 14 - The meteorological department here Monday forecast that a strong hurricane could lash this port city near the Bay of Bengal Tuesday, which could lead to the abandoning of the third and final India-Bangladesh One-day International.
Calling it 'Akash', the met department has also forecast strong winds for Chittagong as well as Mongla port, due to which the two cities have raised Danger Signal No. 7 and No. 5 respectively. The highest danger signal is No. 10.
According to the met office here, the depression in east central bay intensified Monday afternoon into a cyclonic storm. It compelled Cox's Bazaar and Chittagong maritime ports to issue Danger Signal 7 while Mongla port issued Signal 5.
Within 54 kilometres of the eye of the cyclone Akash, gusty to squally winds were gathering a speed of 62 kilometres per hour and were likely to reach 88 kmph.
