[RxPG] Chittagong, May 14 - Viral infection has hit the Bangladesh cricket team in a big way with four players doubtful for Tuesday's third and final One-day International against India, which itself faces uncertainty following a hurricane forecast.

Bangladesh captain Habibul Bashar told reporters that besides vice-captain Mohammad Ashraful, who is still in Dhaka after he was admitted to a hospital there due to high fever Saturday, Shahadat Hossain Rajib, Abdur Razzak and Farhad Reza are also ill with viral fever.

'After Ashraful was ruled out we decided to pick Farhad Reza. But now he is complaining of fever. Besides him, Shahadat Hossain and Abdur Razzak are also complaining of the same problem,' said Bashar in an informal chat with reporters.

'So I am not in a position to set any plans for the game,' said the 34-year-old, who is set to play his last ODI in Bangladesh.

India have already taken an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-ODI series.

Bashar said the team management then sent an SOS to Tushar Imran, Rajen Saleh and Mehrab Hossain junior, who were set to join the team anyway for the Test series starting here Friday, to reach Chittagong by Monday night.

'They are unlikely to play, but we will need them as a backup in case of emergency in the field. As of now, I don't have a single option to replace a fielder. Hopefully, they will solve the problem,' he said.

The three players were supposed to reach here by a Biman Airlines flight from Dhaka. But after the flight was cancelled due to the hurricane forecast in Chittagong for Tuesday they took a bus to Chittagong and are excepted to reach here late at night.

The met department here has forecast No. 7 danger signal for Tuesday, which is very high. The most dangerous signal is 10.

On Monday, it rained almost the whole day forcing the players indoors. The pitches remained covered throughout and the outfield became soggy.
