[RxPG] Hyderabad, April 27 - Telangana Rashtra Samiti - president K. Chandrasekhara Rao Friday demanded that former party leader A. Narendra be suspended from parliament for his involvement in the human trafficking scam.

Rao claimed that Narendra was suspended from the TRS after police found prima facie evidence against him.

'Narendra will be arrested and sent to jail in two days as he is neck deep in the scandal,' he said.

Rao, who is also an MP, said he would write to Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee to suspend Narendra's membership.

Defending the action taken against Narendra, who represents Medak constituency, he said misusing passports and indulging in human trafficking amounted to sedition. 'The party can't tolerate such people among its ranks,' he said before leaving for Warangal to address a rally to celebrate the party's sixth anniversary.

Dismissing the allegations made by Narendra against him, Rao said this was expected from a man thrown out of the party.

Narendra had alleged Thursday that it was Rao who was involved in human trafficking and selling Rajya Sabha and assembly seats to people.

Narendra, who was number two in the party, had allegedly misused passports of party MPs D. Ravindra Naik and T. Madhusudhana Reddy when they were in his possession.

Madhusudhana Reddy claimed that union minister for parliamentary affairs Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told him during an all party meeting called to discuss the scam Wednesday that Narendra had sent Gujarati women to the US on fake passports.

The TRS president has also demanded that Andhra Pradesh state assembly speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy suspend Kasipeta Lingaiah and other TRS rebel legislators.

Lingaiah was Friday sent to jail by a court here after he surrendered in connection with the human trafficking case. Some more legislators are suspected to be involved in the scandal.

The scam came to light last week with the arrest of Bharatiya Janata Party - MP Babubhai Katara for trying to smuggle out a woman and a teenage boy to Toronto on his family's diplomatic passports. Katara has been suspended from the party and has been asked by the Lok Sabha speaker not to attend the house.
