New Cholera Outbreak in Sao Tome
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has rushed medication and medical equipment to São Tomé and Príncipe, where more than 130 cases of cholera and three deaths have been reported and most of the population of the island of São Tomé is at risk of the dehydrating disease.

UNICEF alarmed by cholera outbreak in Sao Tome
In response to an outbreak of cholera, UNICEF has rushed medical supplies to Sao Tome, where nearly 80 per cent of the islands total population is at risk to the deadly disease.

Diourbel worst hit by Cholera in Senegal
From the week of 11-17 April 2005, the Ministry of Health, Senegal reported a total of 1187 cases and 14 deaths (case fatality rate 1.2%) in the country.

Cholera Epidemic in Senegal
During the week of 28 March-3 April 2005, the Ministry of Health, Senegal reported 3475 cases including 54 deaths (case fatality rate, 1.5%) in the Diourbel region.
